Thomas Ray Garcia is an educator, author, and entrepreneur from Pharr, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. He is running for Texas State Board of Education, District 2 as the Democratic nominee.

Throughout his 13 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, Thomas has taught in the classroom and spearheaded programs for high school students and parents. Thomas is a community college professor, a former high school teacher, and a former director of a college readiness program that’s impacted thousands of students.
